In an effort to explain the health care law in perhaps her largest Mass Appeal, Michelle Obama presided on Tuesday over a conference call, with nurses, stressing the benefits consumers are to enjoy. One of Mrs. Obama’s advisers said there is a rising interest in speaking about the new health provisions that have already taken effect. This came after it was discovered that the white house has gathered around 1,000 nurses who were to be on call, done through the aid of the ANA or American Nurses Association. This was a group strongly in support of the overhaul of the healthcare coverage. Michelle Obama As the November 2 mid-term elections approaches, the conference call by Michelle Obama was seen as having the potential of arming surrogates (nurses) in a political dimension, although it was not an event overtly political. The nurses would somehow be armed to speak with parents about the better part of the Affordable Care Act. However, the first Lady will be on the campaign trail starting on the 13 of October in Chicago, as she plans to start her visit to seven cities in six different states for fundraising events in October. While The President will be leading mass rallies geared at getting more votes, Michelle Obama has no such plans currently. Image Credit: |
