The end of the year 2010 marks the end of this decade, being the first of the 21st Century. The 9/11 attacks were at the end of the first year of the decade and phrases that always incorporate the words ‘…or the terrorists will win” and “…. Will result in the end of the free world as we know it’ have been adopted into everyday language.

Highlights; have the terrorists won?
A popular magazine, which was hosting a photo shoot for women recipients of a certain award, specified that the women had to wear a black suit. Men are normally never given any specifications on what to wear to photo shoots by the same magazine. When asked about the reason for specifying the women’s dress code, the publisher said that they couldn’t risk someone showing up in pink and another in leopard print.

This was a clear example that the playing field for men and women is not yet level. The question here begs; would it be the end of the free world if women did wear leopard and pink?
