Harlem rapper Huddy Combs, a.k.a Huddy 6 (born as Andre Hudson), was killed in a car crash at New York on Wednesday morning as confirmed by MTV News. Huddy was driving his car southbound towards New Jersey when the vehicle collided with a truck on the George Washington Bridge. He was announced to be dead on the spot while his fellow female passenger was taken to a local hospital and her condition is not known yet. Huddy was mostly known as a close friend of Cam’ron in hip-hop circles. He also got credit for saving Cam’ron’s life in 2005 when the latter was shot twice after a party and Huddy rescued him and took Cam to a nearby hospital. Huddy Combs entered the music industry as part of the Mase’s Harlem World rap band who released their only album “The Movement”- an instant hit. However the band dissolved shortly after the album’s release. Huddy later featured in another album named “Die Another Day: Flawless Victory” which was an anti-Eminem mix tape in 2003 produced with the help of Source magazine co-owner Ray Benzino. In 2005 his album ‘Arch Nemesis’ released. After his career in the music industry came to an end, he became a regular figure in New York’s party scene as a promoter of high-profile events. At the news of his death RIP Huddy 6 messages were the most popular tweets with Juelz Santana even tweeting “RIP Huddy 6”. |
