Sony Bravia and Play station 3 have launched Hulu Plus as the new premium version of online video service.

Hulu plus has started for Sony PlayStation 3. The Plus premium version of the online video service for Sony Bravia has been released to the market by Hulu. This gives users of Sony PlayStation 3 a great chance to download and subscribe to the service.

The new service was available on Thursday for Bravia 2010 sets, and set to be released to other Bravia user’s in the near future. While still in preview mode, Hulu is expanding the premium service. The service was launched in June only that it was only available by invitation only.

Subscribers to the Plus service get the full version and all the current shows available on the service. On top of that subscribers gain access to the shows via a Hulu-provided app for the Apple iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPhone4 or iPod Touch. The new service is also available on the select Internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players from Samsung Electronics.

Hulu is owned by News Corp., NBC Universal, and The Walt Disney Co., among others, which provide shows for 100 providers. The cost of Plus subscription is $9.99 per month. According to many analysts, the success of paid video services online depends on the content, as well as availability on paid TV, video on demands or regular programming.

Many are hopeful that Hulu’s strategy of offering the full season will prove to be popular with subscribers.
