![]() IPAD AND FRIENDS The iPad competitors will hold together not more than 30 percent of the market in 2011 and up to 38 percent by 2012, according to some reports published this week. One of the greatest disadvantages of Tablets and Slates that are coming after iPad is that they were or are going to be launched after this killer device, which not only impenetrable with its own OS and software like iBook but also has been famous worldwide leading a long way before anyone to reach. After iPad successfully created a market of similar devices and captured nearly all of it, all the manufacturers are now trying to grab a piece of the pie now, by releasing their products similar to iPad or claimed to be better than it. Every big device makers has been engaged in this rat race, trying to become a real iPad competitor, from HP to Dell, Microsoft to Google all are trying to make use of this product line that has numerous possibilities in every field of cyber world. There are very few things that iPad can’t do, so the vulnerabilities are the main weapons of iPad Competitors to make their device more popular than others. As iPad-like devices need to be lightweight and touch screen based, there are little scope in any significant hardware improvement, so all are giving emphasis on the software parts, like ViewSonic announced to release a ViewPad tablet that can boot both Android and Windows 7 so the users will get more advantage from it. Pricing is also another important factor that may turn into a deciding factor while choosing between the iPad priced over $500 or its competitor device priced well below $300 but only time will utter the last word on the final result in this long battle. In conclusion even if these are not exactly the best news for some customers, for the moment it is unlikely that any of the iPad competitors will be able to equal Apple’s overall performance.
