JUAN WILLIAMS FIRED BY NPR: UNFAIRLY???

NPR : National Public Radio has been heavily criticised for their decision to fire news analyst Juan Williams after his comments on “The O’Reilly Factor”. Juan Williams had been fired after he had reportedly told Bill O’Reilly that he becomes “nervous” whenever he sees people wearing Muslim clothes or attire on airplanes.
Juan in his statement had said he was not a bigot and everyone knows the kind of books he had written about the civil movements of his country. But whenever he gets on an airplane and sees anyone identifying themselves as Muslims he gets panic stricken.
However, the comments made by Williams do not seem to be the only reason for which he was fired. The actual reason that seems likely is his numerous appearances on Fox News. The comments made by Juan came while he had made a visit to Fox News. Its also being heard NPR was looking for excuses to fire Juan Williams for his frequent visits on the Fox News couch.
Williams being a part time commentator had the license to appear on Fox. However the firing of the ex NPR news analyst has attracted heavy criticism from all political quarters. Sarah Palin commented on Twitter of Williams getting a “taste of the Left hypocrisy”. Its also said that some NPR colleagues had been very unsupportive with Juan’s role on Fox News and did not like it. Also, many doubt if Juan Williams had to face the same fate had he made the comments to Charlie Rose rather than on O’Reilly Factor.
