There is bad news for Bachelorette fans: Julien Hug was discovered dead in Southern California at a very remote locale in Riverside County. He had endeared himself to all and won over many a fan when he took part in the 2009 edition of ‘The Bachelorette’, a very popular reality show on ABC. No news was forthcoming on the exact cause of the tragic incident.

The season in which Julien Hug was a Bachelorette contestant also had Jillian Harris on the reality show. Julien Hug after his reality TV stint went home to San Diego where he was an entrepreneur who helped to manage the family restaurant Palm Desert. The restaurant is located in the region of Rancho Santa Fe , part of the North County of San Diego.

Some foul play is being suspected after he went missing some days ago, only to be discovered dead sprawled on a highway yesterday.

After the identification of the body which was possible only today,the police have called for an autopsy. It is not yet clear whether it was a medical problem that claimed Julien Hug, or whether a full fledged criminal investigation is to be launched.

Jillian Harris who was part of Bachelorette said in a Tweet and asked people to offer their prayers. It included how Harris had lost a dear friend and rued the fragility of life.

Those who had met the star in the San Diego family restaurant said that Julien Hug was the epitome of a nice guy.
