Reports from Melbourne, Australia, says that Hollywood super star Demi Moore had her case against an Australian Magazine settled out of court. The settlement has been reached after some time, where the magazine had printed the photos of different celebrities attending a party she had back in 2008. This was reported by the actress’ lawyer on Monday. The magazine sued was New Idea, by Moore, who is 47 years old. This is over a number of shots in black and white of her, rapper P. Diddy, Orlando Bloom, Cameron Diaz and daughter Rumer Willis. Demi Moore was awaited to appear in person and argue in a Federal Court in Australia that the photos were her own, but New Idea went out of their path and breached her copyright, as well as privacy after spreading them in their publication in two pages in the March 2008 publication. Since the case had gained a lot of media interest not only across the world but in Melbourne, fans will be disappointed, as the Judge observed, “there will be a large number of disappointed fans” since Ms Moore is not going to Australia for case. The lawyer to the Actress said the case has just been rested, or “settled in principle”, as the confidential agreement is yet to be made and brought to the court by Tuesday. The photos in the tussle are said to be worth about $187, 000. Image Credit: |
