In the Tuesday decision, the California voters will be making it clear they are ready to legalize or not recreational marijuana, something that has brought attention to the state from across the world. This would be concurrent with another 160 measures through the ballot in about 37 states, including a very divisive proposal that aims to slash taxes as well as ban abortion. Pot Activists Upbeat The proposal from California is known as “Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act”, which would give adults more than the age of 21, freedom to possess about an ounce of marijuana as well as consuming it in places nonpublic, in areas children are not plus growing the pot in small types of private plots. Proposition 19 seeks to authorize through the state ballot local governments so that they can permit the existence of pot commercial cultivation, selling and usage in licensed and established areas. Proponents of the Act sees it as quite sensible as much as it’s unprecedented, and would provide revenue that is heavily needed for the state that is cash-strapped. It would also dent the violence experienced in Mexico, drug related, through plummeting its price and reducing arrests related to Marijuana, something they claim targets youths from the minority in the area. Supporters of Prop supporters were upbeat after a Gallup Poll recently showed support nationally for marijuana legalization seems to reach 46%, an all time high, saying that there might be a majority support after a couple of years in case the recent trend would continue.
