Lindsay Lohan has been denied bail by Judge Elden Fox ahead of a hearing to ascertain whether the actress had violated her probation for alcohol and drugs. She has been forced to return to jail awaiting the formal hearing to be held on the 22 of October.

Lindsay was led in handcuffs from a courtroom in Beverly Hills and returned to jail. She will be spending about an entire month as she awaits the hearing. Reports have it that Judge Elden Fox announced her remand into custody prior to hearing her arguments. The preliminary hearing took place after she had failed drug tests, which are in violation of her probation condition.

Even after appearing before the Judge in October, Lohan might return to jail this time in case she is sentenced with additional jail time. She was sentenced in July for 90 days, after violating another probation after she had failed to appear in class for alcohol education as the court had ordered. Since the jail was overcrowded, she served about 13 days only.

The Judge will be determining whether Lohan had violated the terms of the violation after the 2007 conviction as a result of cocaine possession and drink-driving.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress had been in jail in august plus about 22 more days in a residential drug program. She had faced another judge because of violating the probation she got for the charge. In a tweet last week, she had written, “regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test. If I am asked I am prepared to appear before Judge Fox.”
