Lisa Marie Presley, the former wife of Michael Jackson, opened up for the first time on his death in an interview given to Oprah Winfrey which will be aired on Thursday. However the promos are out, and whoever has seen the preview will very well know that its a must watch for all viewers. She answered the questions asked by Oprah and expressed her disappointment at the pop sensation’s death which she felt she might have done something in order to save him from the jaws of death.
Presley married Jackson in 1994 and wished she could have tried harder to help her husband after their break up. However, she added that Jackson’s “God like” existence made it impossible for anyone to confront him about his habits. She also said his deteriorating health and drug addiction made her concerned for him.
Oprah wanted to know about the marriage between Presley and Jackson, the extreme drug addiction of Jackson and the comparisons between Presley’s father, Sir Elvis Presley and Jackson. The editing of the promo was done in such a melodramatic way; it seems every Winfrey question is met by Lisa in a painful manner.
The interview will be aired on WFTV – CH. 9 at 4 pm on Thursday. This show is again expected to be a boost to the ratings for Winfrey. It was very unexpected Lisa Marie Presley would open up in her only interview about Michael Jackson and would speak on their troubled, unsuccessful marriage and the tragic demise of the greatest pop star of all times.
