Lou Dobbs has become the latest epitome of American hypocrisy after it was revealed that he hired and exploited undocumented immigrants, paying them peanuts. Dobbs during his heydays at CNN, earned a whopping reported $6 million a year for his supposed “fearless commentary”, and had an enviable TRP count. He was notorious for his rabid rants against “illegal aliens”, that’s illegal immigrants for you. He spewed venom against those exploitative employers who flouted US law, and even proposed that they should be slapped with felony charges
Now it turns out Lou Dobbs was shamelessly exploiting “illegal aliens” for his household work and maintenance, all the while spouting garbage and homilies on immigrant regulations.

Under the assumed name of Marco Salinas, a worker gave out details of Dobbs as an exploitative skin-flint employer. He was understandably reluctant to give out much to author Isabel Macdonald. Salinas managed to get a guest-visa only after two years of work at the Dobbs stable.
The lacunae in US laws paves the way for the exploitation of an immigrant population who are an invisible work force that are given below-par wages, or sometimes none at all, living in terrible conditions. Human rights activists say that the way forward is to legalize a working class which will add to the HR pool and the melting pot ethics of the US.
