Captain Dion Phaneuf of the Maple Leafs believes this season they will reload and get back to work. They are a young team and can win if all goes well, although prone to making painful mistakes.

It was expected that scoring would be a problem for the Leafs. The Leafs had a four game win streak during their first game, scoring 16 goals in their first four games. The other teams though have caught on that, they are fast and their offense has spluttered with a lot of pain, scoring only four goals in their last three games.
The managed just 14 shots in Philadelphia, where the Flyers blocked more shots than the Leafs got on net. They were so good at blocking that the Leafs made too many passes, overcompensating in search of great shots.

Winger Clarke MacArthur, tied with Phil Kessel, stated there was no cause for worry, for they had great shooter and they just needed to keep shooting.

Coach Ron Wilson was not at pain to comment about the power play. They scored three goals before the players got out of the box and he was happy how it generated a lot of offense for the team.

The Leafs would be captained by Bryan McCabe in their Tuesday’s home game against the Florida Panthers. They’ll take a break on Sunday and would skate on Monday.

Captain Dion Phaneuf stated their aim was to become better as a group since the group would be made up of good individuals. When they played together, they would play hard and seek to get back to that as they haven’t played hard for a while.
