Mel Gibson, prolific actor, director and writer will be making a cameo, in the form of a tattoo artist, in Hangover 2. Mel Gibson to Make a Cameo in Hang Over 2 The role for the Brave Heart star was reported by the media and confirmed on Tuesday through an individual working closely with the production, although requested to be anonymous. He was not given the authorization to brief on the matter on behalf of the production. Hang Over 2 is a sequel to the successful comedy hit “The Hangover”, released in 2009 and currently commencing the production. The release has been slated for 2011, May. However, the company that will be distributing the movie, Warner Bros., has refused to comment on the issue. Gibson will be hoping in a way that the comedy could improve his reputation that has been tarnished of late. In fact, an appearance many might not forget on the first Hangover helped improve and rehabilitate the image of Mike Tyson. The authorities are currently investigating some claims by Oksana Grigorieva, his ex-girlfriend, that Gibson, who is 54 years old, abused her physically. In fact, an audio release that had Gibson purportedly making a number of misogynistic and racist rants, leaked to the media earlier in the year. Prior to the audio leak, the experienced actor had just starred in the “Beaver”, whose shooting was completed by 2009 yet no release date is yet to be announced by Summit Entertainment, the distributor.
