Milk and other Dairy Products Can Help to Lose Weight

Drinking milk everyday can help you to lose weight, unwanted by the body. In fact, the emphasis is on drinking milk in huge amounts or just eating dairy products to aid in losing weight, as published in a clinical nutritional journal.

Adults who had eaten or just drank huge amount of dairy everyday, about 580 mg of calcium from the dairy products, lost a cool 12 pounds after about ninety days. Those who took least milk or ate less dairy calcium amounting to 150 mg or simply half full glass of milk, were able to lose about seven pounds after 24 months. In fact, higher doses of Vitamin D in a person’s blood were linked to successful lose of weight, as the study had indicated.

In the study, some very interesting facts were made, such as the role of vitamin D in weight loss. This is because before the start of the study, those overweight had very few vitamin D levels and it increased in the number of participants who lost a lot of weight. Thus, the high the amount of vitamin D in blood the more the weight lost.

Low levels of vitamin D are now associated with less weight loss and more gain, with raised levels of vitamin D seemingly able to aid to lose weight. Medical practitioners are now more convinced vitamin D contains something that makes it influential in regulating the weight of a human being.

Since milk is a great vitamin D source, it can be used to take the place of foods that contain high doses of calories and fat.
