Moscow-Bound Plane Makes Safe Emergency Landing in New-York

A breath of relief was collectively sighed after a Boeing 767 belonging to Delta Airlines had an emergency landing at the JFK international airport in New York. The plane reportedly lost an engine right before take-off and then dumped fuel. There were reports of flames on the right wing of the plane but after it executed an emergency landing, there were no signs of any fire.

Plane: Flight 30 to Moscow Emergency Landing Successful

Emergency crew lined up to wait for its landing as it touched down without any fatalities at exactly 1750hrs. Engine failure is reported to have occurred at around 1625hrs, immediately it took off from the same airport.

Official s attributed the automatic shut-down of the engine to the left engine’s failure to function properly. The passengers who had been aboard the Flight 30 to Moscow are said to be safe and officials assured they would board them on another plane on Sunday evening.

According to the spokeswoman of the Federal Aviation Administration, the occurrence is being investigated.
