Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ready to go for peace talks with the Palestinians one more time. Netanyahu Seemingly Ready for Talks He said after holding talks with senior US personnel, Hillary Clinton, that he was confident of fruitful peace talks. He was ready to get the rules of engagement while preserving Israel’s interests and at the same time maintain the much needed peace. The proposal from the U.S. government was so good to let go and was sure that his cabinet would accept it without a shadow of a doubt. On Wednesday, the Prime Minister was confident of having a deal on a freeze on the settlements in building in West Bank by Jews. The U.S government offered a great deal that the Israeli government had to accept, 90-day moratorium on the settlement in West Bank, an area of controversy between the Jews and the Palestine. The most important thing is that he was ready to have the deal and present it to the cabinet if put down into writing. The agreement on the freeze of settlement came as a surprise to many as the Israeli government has for long said that, it was next to impossible on the settlement in West Bank. According to Israel the settlements in West Bank are not the issue and in no way did they affect the path of peace: former stand. Palestine has stood its ground that the freeze must include east Jerusalem. The other party to the negotiations is Palestine president Mahmud Abbas, whom the US is trying to bring back to the negotiations. Direct peace talks ended three weeks after commencing in September 2nd. Three weeks later the 10 month Israeli ban on West Bank settlement building came to an end creating the fresh controversy.
