The problems of heart attacks and strokes could be a thing of the past should what doctors have discovered is given a chance, a new drug that has good cholesterol high and lowering bad cholesterol to extremely levels. Heart Issue could be Curtailed by New Drug The drug experiments have been taking part for the big part in the last decade by the doctors who have been in the labs in Boston. The doctors are yet to start celebrating and making it available to the public. More research and testing is being done to proof that the drugs effect on cholesterol actually means less heart attacks, strokes and the deaths they caused. The drug is called anacetrapib (an-uh-SEHT’-ruh-pihb). The fact is that if the drugs could do what they have been believed is something to reckon, a milestone, as they were presented on to the American Association conference on Wednesday. The milestone is so much needed to the population that is suffering and in dire need of the drug as a solution. Most cannot wait to see the drug in the market. This is the second discovery that is aimed at solving issues concerning the heart. The first was geared towards lowering blood pressure but the final product (pills) did not perform as expected. The breakthrough drug is sent via an artery to the nerves next to the kidneys, which have blood at high pressure. It is hoped that the drug will be a success in fixing the heart failure problem by patient taking a pill each day. The drug will be available to those people who suffer the aforementioned problem. The drug will be available in Europe and will be made available after it has been mentioned within the United States. Image Credit: |
