![]() LARRY KING INVITED ALEX KING Alex King was invited by Larry King to speak at his TV show tonight at 8 P.M. “Keep away from the violence!” this is the message that Alex King will address to this generation of youths and he is ready to use the best arguments for convincing some of them to change their direction. Many details about his crime and how his life was in prison will be revealed tonight, but everything will be subordinated to the main purpose: to stop the violence among young people. In November of 2001, on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, a fire broke out in a home in Cantonment, Florida, 10 miles north of downtown Pensacola. Only the body of 40-year old Terry King was found into the house. Closer examination revealed that he hadn’t died from smoke inhalation because on his head were visible signs of hard blows. The next days his sons Derek and Alex King were invited to the sheriff, where the 13 and 12-year-old boys confessed their crime and they pleaded guilty to their dad’s murder. Alex had the tragical idea and helped Derek to apply the murder plan. Finally they burned the house to conceal evidence of the slaying. Their case became one of the most notorious and bizarre killings in the history. The sentences were relatively short because of their ages so that seven years later, on April 9, 2008, Alex King was released from prison and now he wants to help young people avoid the mistakes he made. The whole nation is invited to encourage their youths to watch the program tonight, hoping for a difference in many lives which are filled with anger and frustration. They need to understand some realities and to assume certain responsibilities, and Alex King along with Larry King will try to help them in this matter. Everybody is invited to comment this event and share some thoughts on our blog, before and after the live show, which is scheduled tonight at 8 P.M. Image Credit: |
Redemption, rehabilitation! How many 12/13 year olds kill their father/mother and then are invited on TV and show no remorse and are smothered with sympathy and affection. How bizarre!! Nice role models.
