North Korea bombs South Korea today morning and shocks the world. Reportedly, the North Korean
army dropped more than two hundred bombs in the South Korean island, which set the island on fire.
Tensions have been mounting up between the two countries for the last few months and dropping of
bombs worsened the situation to a great extent.
South Korean army, which was obviously shocked by this sudden attack immediately responded and
started firing in self-defense. Reports state, South Korean army had lost two troops in the sudden attack.
The primary reports state, sudden bombing at Yeonpyeong Island in Yellow Sea had not only killed two
troops but also severely injured twelve servicemen. There is no news, whether civilians were killed or
injured in the attack. Therefore, the number of fatalities and injuries may rise later.
The North Korean attack shocked the nations across the world and many apprehended this as the start
of the Third World War. Reports from different sources indicate that the North Korean bombs were
dropped sometimes after US representative for North Korea, Stephen Bosworth left Seoul. Therefore,
people anticipated whether North Korea’s attack on South Korea had any kind of message for him.
The reason of the sudden attack is still not known as the North Korean officials are yet to issue
statements. Reports state, South Korean military is on red alert and air force jets have taken their
position to combat the attacks of North Korea. South Korean officials in a media statement said that
they have fired in self-defense but they did not give any clue on their future plan of action.
