Mickey Mouse, the evergreen character of Walt Disney is celebrating its 82nd Birthday today. The
favorite cartoon character of children, has turned eighty-two today and marks another year of its fame.
Mickey Mouse birthday is a real cause of celebration and is marked by millions of Mickey Mouse lovers
scattered in different parts of the world.

Another birthday of Mickey Mouse has given people the opportunity to remember some of the great
works of Walt Disney, which featured this character. Records state, the little mouse, which has later
become a global phenomenon, made its humble beginning in the entertainment industry with the
movie, “Steamboat Willie” in the year 1928. The character, which was first introduced in New York City’s
Colony Theatre garnered huge appreciation from the critics as well as the audiences.

The success and popularity that Mickey Mouse gained from its debut venture ensured its role in several
other Walt Disney ventures. With time, it was seen in more than one hundred and twenty cartoon
acts. It is indeed a great achievement for the creator of Mickey Mouse to make his character appear in
so many different acts. The character of Mickey Mouse was not restricted to the theatres only. It had
reached the houses of every people in the 1950, when it appeared in the famous television show, “The
Mickey Mouse Club”.

With time, several modifications have been made on the appearance of this famous cartoon character.
