One Of Three Kidnapped Victims Found Alive in Suspect’s Basement

Sarah Maynard, a 13-year-old girl who went missing along with her mother, brother and a third woman, was found on Sunday in a basement, bound and gagged. The basement belonged to Matthew J. Hoffman who was taken into custody on Sunday after being apprehended at his Mount Vernon Home. Hoffman, Arrested According to the County Sheriff in Knox, the girl was hospitalized and is in a stable condition. Although he did not establish what led his team to find the girl, Barber explained that Hoffman had listed as a second address, a house which the girl’s mother and stepfather owned. The said house is within a walking distance from Sarah’s. Hoffman, who was charged with kidnapping, is expected to co-operate with police in the ongoing efforts to locate the other three missing persons. These include Sarah’s 10-year old brother Kody, her mother, Tina Hermann and a friend, Stephanie Sprang. They went missing in a chilling event that was characterized by the finding of a large amount of blood in Hermann’s Howard home. No connection has been made yet between the suspect and the victim’s family. Details regarding what the girl told the authorities are still not being released since the matter is still under investigation. Although neighbors reported seeing a body bag being removed from Hoffman’s home Barber denied the occurrence of any deaths,.
