The American government has had research on the safety of the flu shot and no complications from those who used the vaccine.

A research conducted for 19 years leading to 2009 over175 reports were written concerning the issue were given the Vaccine Advance Events Reporting System (VEARS), the body that regulates the vaccine use.

A few expectant mothers vaccinated with the vaccine, flu shot, reported complications related to the vaccine.

Some complications are not that fatal but extreme cases have led to miscarriages as well as birth, but not as put in the public domain.

The VEARS is managed and run by the federal government and gives the industry players a place to report cases on any complications on the vaccine.

Some of the complications made are not linked to the vaccine making it hard for the body, VEARS, system cannot give details of the effects of the vaccine. The body has helped in the realization of new and unusual consequences undetectable from clinics.

The flu shot is made using weakened influenza virus and has been used in 10,000 expectant mothers with no evidence of harmful effects.

Researchers have gone ahead and conducted independent research and no harmful effects have been reported by any of them.

Women are advised to have a dosage of flu shot especially when pregnant as they are more likely to be infected with flu compared to non-pregnant mothers.

The statistics are even more revealing as they show one in every twenty died of H1N1 flu, 2009, bearing in mind that one in every 100 is a pregnant woman, a farther reason why women should be immunized.

Despite all this only a quarter of pregnant women ware vaccinated in the past vaccination season, reasons given vary from the fact that people doubt the safety of the vaccine by all the parties in the industry.
