He was active in the world of insurance rather than in politics. However, he did play an active role in helping others to successfully fulfill their own goals in the world of politics. Those who knew him called him a very passionate and intelligent man with a great deal to offer the world and those he loved. He served his nation as well as the family with honor and is well known for all his contributions to Greenwich. In 1943 he moved to South America to work for Pan America Airways. In 1952 he joined Johnson & Higgins, a well known insurance firm, and worked on Wall Street. Later he became a partner in that business. He created a non profit organization that helped to encourage ongoing trade with China. Services are scheduled to take place on Wednesday at noon. They will occur at the Christ Church Greenwich. His family and friends referred to him as Pressy. He was born in Portland Maine on August 10, 1922. He was the oldest of five children to Prescott Bush Sr. and Dorothy Walker Bush. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth whom he was married to for 66 years, his son James, his daughter Kelsey, and six grandchildren. Image Credit: |
