A former chief of Police in Milan has been interrogated by a number of prosecutors as allegations persist that Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian PM, is abusing power.

The allegations overall issues seem to circle around the intervention of the Prime Minister in having a teenage girl released from a cell in a police station.

Berlusconi: Serious Accusations of Misuse of Power

On his part, the PM seems to have categorically denied any conduct that was improper concerning the girl, whose name is Ruby, stating that his was simply an act of pity on the girl.

However, the Mr. Berlusconi is facing increasing pressure from the media as pressure to resign continues to mount.

The commander at the time Ruby was arrested, at a Milan police station Vicenzo Indolfi, was intensely questioned for around an hour by a well-known investigator on Monday, Ilda Boccasini, as Italian media reported.

As for Indolfi, he continues to claim that his commanding station was dully following “procedures’ after they had arrested Ruby on counts of stealing about 3,000 Euros and released her as a result of the Prime Minister’s call.

The media in Italia suggest the PM called the police station himself for Ruby’s release, and claimed incorrectly that the girl was the Egyptian President’s granddaughter.

After being arrested, Ruby, Moroccan-Sicilian teenage runaway, only 17 years of age had claimed that she was well known by the Italian Prime Minister where she had allegedly attended villa parties, a place where sex games are known to have gone ahead.

Ruby claimed the PM had been good to her and after knowing her troubles he had given her a gift of about 7,000 Euros, and that they never had sex.
