The market leader in visual, geospatial analysis software today has made the much awaited news on a breakthrough in technology that will help in visualizing, analyzing and detecting smart gridding data performance levels that was not possible with the facility hardware.

The system will be using a unique patent-awaiting “spacio-temporal” technique; the space timer will be splitting information from millions of meters and indexes based on spatial and nodal attributes.
Explaining the approach the senior Vice-President, Quentin Grady, said that the technology was going to help the company get to the leadership role in the smart grid analytics industry.

Analytics: Features Breakthrough

Smart meters rely on the communication back-haul system to give accurate information on energy usage information. Should the communication fail will lead to having the meter data useless. The technology is geared towards optimizing demand response dynamic prices and the entire challenges face in the deployment challenges.

There are a number of layered information feeds from a number of sources used on temporal analytics visualization and up-to-date geospatial are products of Space-Time Awareness Server smart grid integration. The multiple sources are:
-External database working in real time
-A sensor to grid information
-Digital meter data connected nodally
-Applications to store data meter information
-Data base classical
- Systems of head end
-ERP,CRM Asset and systems of billing
-Applications of business intelligence

The data collection and aggregation happen in supersonic speed. For energy companies having transmission and grid stability all the time or having distribution problems in responding to demand in the grid environment, the new geo-spatial views, strengthened by images, signs are to drill-down capabilities, captures the specifics of query or have dashboard configured drive customs.

The operational benefits include Ad hoc analytics of end user, Situational alertness, Correlations in case of root-cause analysis, Up to date alarm for outrage analyses and fault analysis, Action scripts for protective and remedial work and forensic analysis incase of meter failures.

The VP utility Strategy and Space-Time Insight, Chnni Ranganath, explained that the solution used a spacio-temporal CEP framework that correlated communication and electrical events on a common platform.

The unique capability separated the problems in the message from the messenger. Companies across the Unite State have already had spacio-temporal analytics solutions in test form.
