![]() CHILE MINERS ALIVE It’s about a month now since 33 men stuck half mile under the ground. These miners have become the longest-trapped miners in modern history. Rescue workers are planning to use a huge drill for digging and make a planned escape route for these miners. But this is not an easy task, they said that this operation can take approximately 3 to 4 months to complete. The owners are responsible for this accident because they are familiar with the unstable condition of this mine but they didn’t close it out. However the good thing is that the channel of communication and food supply via a pipe is still open, and the trapped miners are not loosing their hope, at the time of first communication with these trapped miners, they sang the Chile national anthem that boost the spirits of the rescuers and the family members of those who are trapped. Children and other family members also send their letters through the same food tunnel. Chile miners said that the temperature reached up to 35 Celsius degrees, but their spirits are so high and they are surviving under the ground with great courage and hope. According to the rescue plan, they will make two new tunnels going to the trapped miners through a very powerful drill from another mine. One tunnel will be used to increase the fresh air for miners and the other tunnel will be use to release these trapped. But there is a problem that the area of that funnel is not appropriate for every miner. So the rescue members suggested some exercises for those miners whose waistline is over 35inches. Rescue members assure that drilling will start very soon. They are just waiting for a final plan to avoid any collapses because of the drilling and carefully rescue these 33 trapped miners.
