Artistic Human EyeA new system is ready to improve the HD 3D motion-capture. This will help the actor performances not only in the Motion Picture industries but also in Video Game sector.

MotionScan is the innovative system that is able to cut post-production processing time as well as promising a significant influence on the quality of performances.

Regular motion capture might never capture the subtle nuances but this technology allows me to involve viewers in the most incredible details, providing an absolutely revolutionary game.

MotionScan is based on 32 HD cameras. They can capture true-to-life 3D performances up to 30 f.p.s. (frames per second). Having the capacity of capturing up to fifty minutes it can process facial animation automatically up to twenty minutes per day. Each detail and nuance is recorded frame by frame; everything is accurate and no markers are required to be placed to the actors during the recording time.

It doesn’t require any manpower in order to clean up data or to animate the smaller details. Another advantage for cinematographers is the capacity to look at each actor’s performance from different angles and re-light in different ways without an army of lighting setups and cameras that increase the budget and production time.

This technology was developed by Depth Analysis, a company based in Sydney, which hopes to redefine market expectations, providing new options and features.
