Space Program

The Russian space program recently experienced some complications due to a freighter full of supplies wasn’t able to successful dock at the International Space Station. It is believed that the automatic docking system has a failure that prevented it from being able to successfully link up with the necessary equipment like it is designed to do.

Even though the space program has continued to progress, such set backs occasionally occur, even for crafts launched from the Houston space center. The downfall of this set back for Russia is that there were 2 ½ tons of supplies including equipment that were to be delivered to that space station. Reports indicate that the safety of the six astronauts on board was never compromised during the incident.

The astronauts have been well trained through the space program. They were able to pass the space station. It isn’t yet known what may have caused the problem to occur. This particular type of problem is extremely rare according to the Houston space center.

This launch of supplies was for the ISS project. It is a partnership between Russia, USA, Japan, Canada, and Europe. The space station offers a lab of sorts for experiments to take place in a location where there is very little gravity. It is also used to test out the ability for additional travels in space.
