Do not reach for the dictionary,or up the soaring trend” gravitas definition” with another Google search. Here’s telling you: Gravitas means dignity of manner, which Sarah Palin sadly lacks, Karl Rove has said. Surprisingly, Republican political strategist Karl Rove has earlier been an aide to George W. Bush, him with chronic foot-in-mouth disease, the guy who used to read the manual “The idiot’s guide on how not to choke when eating a pretzel” Guess Karl Rove means the kind of gravitas which means you know how to duck when a flying shoe sized 10 is aimed at you by an irate Iraqi journalist. Rove said on the Discovery Channel in a Daily Telegraph interview that Sarah Palin had undermined her suitability as a prospective president with her new show ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska.’ She is heard saying in the promos that she felt free outdoors rather than slugging it out in a “stuffy old political office”. The quote is now proving to be an albatross around her neck. Karl Rove said that Americans wanted to be confident that the candidate they choose would be up to one of the most demanding political jobs in the whole world. He implied that Palin did not have the “level of gravitas” that her political ambitions require in 2012. Former Alaska governor Palin has given out a flippant image on her show, said Rove adding that she does not have class enough for the White House. Look who’s talking. Image Credit: |
