The premier of the HBO production, “Eastbound and Down,” the second season was set to begin at about 10:30 pm, Sunday the 26 September. The production continues Kenny Powers’ story, a pro baseballer just turned gym teacher. Danny McBride portrays Powers, after gaining success in the line of comedy before the series came along. It was created by Danny McBride.

Eastbound and Down season 2 will depict an entirely new location since it is set in Mexico but Puerto Rico was the film location. The premier episode is what many who had loved the first season wait, so that they can gauge its quality and whether it can continue the comedy excellence of the first season.

The show will also introduce a new cast, this time Michael Pena and Ana de la Reguera, with Ana being Powers love interest and Michael as the Mexican Baseball Club owner. A co-director of the show, Jody Hill believes that Eastbound and Down will this time round give the look of a film, perhaps a hybrid between two films.

The series was very successful last year, and the network had to change it from a mini-series to a full time one. It is characterized by immature humor and foul drama, some of the traits that made it a success mostly among the youth. The second season will take the audience to Mexico in Copales, as Kenny Powers continue his adventures with some wonderful laughs.
