The much awaited sci-fi movie, “Skyline”, directed by Colin Strause and Greg Strause has finally released today, November 12. The movie which has created a great hype for its alien invasion theme did not receive much applause in its opening day. The Skyline movie review clearly indicates that the film did not showcase anything exceptional. According to the reviewers, the plot of the movie, set in Los Angeles, is not markedly different from the plot of any other sci fi movie.
As per the reports, the movie which had Scottie Thompson, Donald Faison and Eric Balfour in the star cast failed to make a great impression on the mind of the audience. It has been reported that the characters lacked maturity and were almost flat. Audience could not find anything exciting in the plot as the character did not grow with the development of the story.
It is also said that the alien invasion, which has been one of the major attractions of the story also failed to make a great impact. Though the plot centered on the alien invasion theme, it could not impress the audience or the reviewers. The light effect and cinematography of the film has also received criticism from the experts.
Though the critics were not overwhelmed by the movie, they did not rank the movie as a total disaster. It has been a great effort but it did not garner huge success. “Skyline” can be tagged as a weekend entertainer but one should not have great expectations from it.
