First impressions of Sky 3D
The newly launched 3D channel by sky was the company’s first and demos have been displayed for public viewing at selected venues in shopping centres and pubs. One of the demos has been placed in a pyramid hut and has 4 typical domestic flat screen TV sets. Those who visited were given a pair of 3D sunglasses and watch a three minute trailer featuring samples of golf, football and movie highlights.

3D TV Service now a Reality

The initial impressions are good having a crisp, clear picture quality identical to the beautiful HD quality and the features one expects of 3D with objects that appear to be jumping from the screen to the viewer.

Does the ideal service has an amazing factor? Depends on if one has ever viewed 3D before.

Those who have watched 3D movies from a cinema, for instance at the iMax simply takes ones breath away, do not have the possibility of being amazed as 3D on a large screen provides unrivaled viewing.

3D provides quality experience but the new service provides what many will refer to as equilibrium or museum watch 3D via a tank or from behind a light box. This could be made so by the screen size thus those considering a 3DTV this festive season might have thought on buying a huge one for the greater experience.

The Sky 3D TV service is available as one channel and has a selection of sports, movie and entertaining programs.

What is needed?
A 3DTV set and 3D glasses- manufactures are LG, Sony and Samsung.

Subscription to the Sky world HD, this is a Channel pack and HD channels.
The content is not all inclusive and thus lacks things in SD or HD to be available in Sky 3D TV service.
