Oprah Winfrey’s Final Season saw teen heartthrobs of yore gang up, with once boyish and yummylicious stars like Shaun Cassidy and Peter Frampton gracing the show aired on November 4, Thursday. Also present were Michael Jackson’s brother Jackie Jackson and members of Jackson5 while the Backstreet Boys of’ Larger than Life’ fame too made an appearance. The current generation may not be too familiar with stars like Shaun Cassidy and Peter Frampton but these guys as smouldering boys turned girls into gushing and quaking jelly. His girl fas were legion and he used to be mobbed regularly in his heydays. Peter Frampton had the aura that made the dream boy for chicas. The gang got together to relive the past days and talked about how even now 40-year-old women would turn with posters or debut albums of the stars to be autograghed and that special connect would emerge. Suddenly, the years would roll back as the 10 year old gushing girl inside the woman would surface. If these guys were your first celeb crush, the show must have been worth the while. Shaun Cassidy upped the ante with some of his hit songs like ‘Hey Deanie’, ‘That’s Rock and Roll’ and ‘Da Doo Ron Ron’. Women are under pressure to age like wine, so now you can take solace in the fact that those cheekbones once razor-sharp enough to slit open an envelope are now sunk in middle-age blues.
