The Cursed Volcano Ash may Turn into a Blessing

The reality is that volcanic places are some of the most fertile areas on our planet and soils. Areas such as New Zealand, Java, and Hawaii have been intensely enriched by the volcanic process. The farmers around Mount St. Helens in Washington continue to benefit from the volcanic ash. Actually many fertilizer products have volcanic dusts in their composition. It is true that in the beginning, the ash can asphyxiate crops, but light quantities are usually risk-free. Another benefit is provided by the dehydrating effect of ash on insects. The pests and other bugs may decline quickly after an eruption. It is a difficult job to put in the balance the blessing and the curse generated by volcano activities, but sometimes it may help to have a better understanding of each aspect and to see the diamonds in dust.
