The AAA Texas 500 Cup saw high voltage drama with the showdown between Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon as the two came to blows.

If you thought the Talladega Superspeedway had fiery live-wire scenes last week, this event made earlier spats pale in comparision.

As for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase, Kyle Busch say his points tanks, being penalized after raging at NASCAR officials when a pit speeding penalty got him to lose one precious and closely-contested lap.

The Texas Motor Speedway saw some heart-stopping action, besides a change on top of the standings chart.

The fireworks erupted for real in the confrontation between Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon on the track. Jeff Burton busted up the race for Gordon after ending up hitting him. This meant Jeff Gordon ,the four-time Cup champion had a dud race with his car totalled for no reason from his end.

This was when Jeff Gordon say read and this made way for a heated scuffle on the track. Videos of the brawl between the duo are hot property online.

The winner amid all the drama emerged as Denny Hamlin who took control of the race and the drivers standings. Jimmie Johnson is in the running for a fifth consecutive title and others are in hot pursuit. With just two races to go, the championship battle is set to go to the wire with a nail-biting finish.
