Some of these phrases will never get a new line “it is that time of the year again” mostly used to refer to occasions and events that happen annually like the Christmas, Valentines and national holidays. One thing to note is that whenever they are used some one is ready and is going to make a lot of money from sale or something.

Oscars: A Season of Entertainment

The Oscars are just like political campaigns, believe it they run all year round and speculation and predictions begin the moment the winner gets his or her prize. There are rises and falls through out the year and just like in the political arena the contestants go around chest thumping trying to prove why they deserve it. It is all too the same.

The voters are treated to a spectacle like no other as the contestants find their way to all possible venues to market their products, film festivals and theaters, the critics come in handy from within and without the contestants. The only exception are the Coen brothers using of “the Grit” and James L. Brooks comedy “How Do You Know” both which were launched last December.

The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Science made a new decision to have the best Picture have 10 nominees which is not so popular to the TV audience and voters, this opened up the decided slots for the movies with more box-office numbers. The good thing is that the move may have infuriated the fans but has opened up the industry the more.
