Bangkok ThailandThailand is shocked at the violent ending. The army took forceful steps to break down the barricades that were put up inside Bangkok and the leaders were arrested. The public’s opinion remains shaken and the nation is reflecting on the government, its actions, exercising democracy, on bureaucracy, and the state of the society as a whole.

A priest who is the National Director for Mission Societies stated that Thailand is going through a rebirth. Through the suffering he hopes the country will come out better. “Maybe in time someone can come forward to help with social conflicts, resolve issues, and take steps in national reconciliation.”
Thai people have a King that is much loved and any encouraging words from him would be considered respected. If religious leaders gathered together to help with peace and harmony in the future, by doing so they can exert their influences on spiritual and moral authority.

The reasons for the protesting still are not resolved and demonstrations could start up again. This time they could even become more violent and deadly. These issues have to be resolved with the population now being divided.
