Tiger WodsA spokesperson for the Golfing Association on Tuesday stated that Tiger Woods will play in the US Open in June. This comes just a few days after the star had returned to golf after a scandal.

According to a spokesperson, Mr. Woods had confirmed through email he would play Pebble Beach on June 17th-20th. Last Sunday at the US Masters, Mr. Woods tied for 4th place after a 5 month break from golf.

Tiger Woods has won fourteen major championships. He blew away his opponents in Pebble Beach in 2000 to win by fifteen strokes. That is the biggest gap ever in a championship.

Before Tiger plays in the US Open, he could try other tournaments like the Players Championship in Florida on May 6th-9th, or the Memorial tournament in Ohio on June 3rd-6th, or the Quail Hollow championship in North Carolina on April 29th-May 2nd.

After Tiger’s final round last weekend, he gave no indication of the PGA Tour schedule and was considering taking some time to think about things. Tiger Woods had taken time off from golf due to having an affair.
