This information comes from U.S. Attorney Jose Angel Moreno. Barry Walter Bujol Jr. is a 29 years resident of Hempstead, Texas and he was involved in providing material support in the Arabian Peninsula to Al Qaeda. He was also accused of identity theft operations, using a false government-issued I.D. These decisions resulted from a long-term investigation. Sunday, Bujol boarded a ship in the Houston-area port after other unsuccessful attempts to depart the U.S. and travel to the Middle East. These actions may cost him up to 20 years in prison. Mr. Moreno said that the highest priority of the U.S. Department of Justice is to protect the American public from the threat of terrorism. In this case it was recorded a high cooperation between local, federal, and state agencies. Ongoing vigilance is indispensable in order to expose more terrorist activities. More U.S. citizens need to be recruited and instructed to compensate the general efforts for stopping these activities. |
