US Mint Launches New Abraham Lincoln Coins

Abraham Lincoln, one of the greatest presidents of the United Kingdom has always been highly honored
by the people of his country. Today, even after years of his death, one more honor has been added
to his name. The US mint, on November 18, 2010 has released new presidential coins in the honor of
Abraham Lincoln. According to the reports, the new gold plated Abraham Lincoln coins of one dollar
valuation have rolled out on the day, which also mark his remarkable Gettysburg address.

The reports state that the new coin has been released at famous President Lincoln’s Cottage in
Washington D.C.’s Armed Forces Retirement Home. Erin Mast, the director of Lincoln’s cottage and Ed
Moy, the director of US Mint have introduced the new coin to countrymen during a ceremony.

Though the new presidential coin has been released officially for circulation, it is not yet available in the
banks and other financial institutions. Reports state, process of making them available in all the financial
institutions are underway and very soon people will be able to collect these coins from banks. Records
state, Lincoln coins is the sixteenth coin that have been unveiled in the ongoing “Presidential $1 Coin
Program.” The program has started from 2007 and officials have released the sixteenth edition to mark
the successful presidential term of the sixteenth US president.

Lincoln 25 dollar rolls have also been officially inaugurated and people can get hold of it directly from
the U.S. mint. Reports state, to purchase these rolls people will just have to pay 35.95 dollars to the
mint.
