Valet Arrested and Fired after Crashing a Rare Mercedes Type of Sports Car

A valet who works with Vancouver Airport found himself before a judge this week, after he crashed a clients’ rare type of a sports car made by Mercedes. The sports car owner has been given $20,000 for damages that occurred because the valet was not able to control it when he was overtaking a certain lorry on the airport’s road; the rare Mercedes was propelled above a wall barrier, before it landed in the bushes. SL 65 Mercedes: Example of a Sports Car Crashed by a Valet It took duration of just more than two months in order to get the car’s damages on the 65 SL Mercedes repaired; the cost was approximately $26,000. After this incident the valet was fired immediately. This sports car is able to accelerate to 60mph from 0mph in only 4.2 seconds. In 2005, SL 65 Mercedes was declared the quickest production automobile in this world. Part of this court case majored around whether the EPS system of the car had been turned off by the valet or not. The stabilization system of this sports vehicle is computerized and can recognize the time the wheel start to spin, & automatically tries to correct it. If the EPS is off, it makes the rare Mercedes very hard to control. The valet could not tell if accidentally he had turned off the EPS or not. The court awarded the SL 65 Mercedes owner a total of $16,000 worth of damages though a claim for emotional distress and anguish was dismissed. Image Credit: |
