While many ask why the Vatican is up for ‘The Simpsons’, a long running program on TV, a Vatican Newspaper praises the program and the world can now know why.

In a story entitled “Homer and Bart are Catholic”, written by L’Osservatore Romano, the claim is obvious, including a phrase to the effect that only a few individuals know the truth as he tries to hide it, although its true Homer Simpson happens to be a catholic.

Homer Simpson and Son Bart Catholic

However, it is seems like the remark has not been done in a vacuum. In 2009 December, the same Vatican Newspaper had cited the worldwide loved show that has been around for twenty years, praising its evident philosophical inclinations and an irreverent peak on religion.

From an analysis, the Vatican paper quoted the work of Reverend Francesco Occhetta, also a Jesuit priest, which had discussed the conversion of Homer Simpson and His son’s in an episode of the program in 2005, taking place after both had met a sympathetic and kind priest known as Father Sean.

The writer says behind the timeless jokes the show has, there are themes that link to quality and sense of life, making it official that Homer J. Simpson and Son are catholic.
