Vikings’ and Titans’ troubles mount

The Vikings and the Titans are in for a war. Not a gruesome sword battle, but a fight for the “uglier”
team tag. Be it the firing of Coach Brad Childress or tantrums coming from Vince Young, the infernos
have matched their shoulders.

On Monday, the Viking did away with their coach after a dreadful home loss. The move would have
been of some significance if he would have been fired a few weeks ago. Along with the coach, off
went the issue of Brett Favre and nothing was left of Randy Moss’s credibility. Childress made a wrong
move by sending his players to bring back Favre. He came in, but fared pretty badly. The Moss issue
was another setback for the team. With Childress gone and Leslie Frazier riding the chariot, the team
may see some sunlight. On the other hand, the Titans are showcasing their fiery side through Vince
Young. Young sat off with injury. He made it to the Monday news with his heated exchange with Coach
Jeff Fisher. Young is emerging as a fiery player from whom none can” look away”. His tantrums and
crabbiness need no elucidation. Titans are now deciding between Fisher and Young. Though Young
remains the committed quarterback, the stable Fisher has more weight on his pan. At least he has more
supporters as a coach rather than that of Young. Of recent news, the National League Most Valuable
Player award went to Joey Votto of Cincinnati. The award was pleasantly accepted as the player made a
terrific comeback after the demise of his father.
