Waffles are the foodie delight ruling the Halloween rage in net trends. While candy delights are great for kids, for a royal dessert, indulge in Belgian waffles topped with dark chocolate and strawberries this Halloween weekend. This treat is sure to have the family peeling in delight, a delicious comfort food that will put the kids on track for a long trick-or-treat haul. Waffles are great as a nutrilicious breakfast, topped with honey for the health conscious. For a homey DIY delight, you can bake your own batch of crunchy nut and chocolate waffles, and rustle it up for guests or family with a dash of cocoa butter. If you are allergenic to nuts or diabetic or aiming for a no-sugar diet regimen, munch on crisp homemade waffles that are topped with berries and flavonoid rich dark chocolate with artificial sweeteners. Aspartame however is not great for your system so just loosen up and dip into a sinfully delicious waffle this Halloween. Chefs suggest throwing in fresh fruit on top of the chocolate crust, be it cantaloupe slices, mango cubes or orange bits. Waffle making is a hassle free job, and you can keep stress at bay by roping in the kids to help out and see their treat in the making. So grab the cocoa powder tin and flour sack for that last minute drool-worthy Halloween delight or just run to the confectionery. |
