Over the last three years, many things have changed about the Bret Favre people used to know all too well. He used to be the most recent name on the list of gunslingers sold. There are several things that the NFL community has had to respect, more than merely a guy who pulls himself up from the muck and throws a 60-yard in the name of a winning score. A certain mentality to this observation transcends the game. Favre Warming Up Favre has already shown enough of it during his career at the Green Bay, building a big bank account in the name of media love. After departing from the Packers and his move to where he stands now, Favre was going to need it. By travelling to New York from Green Bay and then to Minnesota, he has displayed to many fans his worst traits. He has brought out one of the media’s worst, too. It is clear that Favre is driven both by his insecurities and his bravado. He is insecure about how his body is going to hold up. He is also insecure about what people who are dependent on his continual ability to fling many touchdown passes are going to do in order to prove that they need him to continue doing so every year. The annual drama appears to have morphed into a big cross between a small boy issuing threats of disappearing from home, and the globe’s most unintentionally funny media kind of campouts anyone will ever see. The recent allegations against him tell it all. Image Credit: |
