Women’s Association of NJPAC’s Spotlight Gala headlines entertainer of the year, Jennifer Hudson

On October 2nd, 2010, Jennifer Hudson will headline the Women’s Association of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center’s Spotlight Gala, which is held every year. This event is a fundraiser that is nonprofit and is highly anticipated for New Jersey State.

The Gala will be held in a heated, three hundred square foot tent and throughout the Arts Center. This year, there are new ways to enjoy the Gala by different price points. Starting at just $35 you can receive two performance only tickets and a special party package.

The event will be formal black tie only and begins at 5:30 pm with cocktails being served at Prudential Hall Lobby. Then, there will be an awards ceremony and Ms. Hudson will sing. In the heated tent, will be dinner and dancing. There will be fireworks also to end the evening.

Ms. Hudson’s powerful voice has won her Soul Train’s Entertainer of the Year along with winning a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for her stunning performance in Dream Girls. American Idol brought her to the world and made her a superstar.

Jennifer Hudson, her self titled album won Best R & B Album in a Grammy award, and also received three additional nominations which were: Best R & B Performance by a Group or Duo with Vocals, Best Female R & B Vocal Performance, and Best R & B Song. She has also co-starred in the Sex in the City and The Secret Life of Bees besides Dream Girls.
