Women Health and Fitness Day Set for September 29

About 1,400 groups in the United States are looking forward to the health and fitness day for women. The day was adopted towards encouraging all sorts of women to take their fitness and health seriously, through the learning of the right facts that would help them in making the right health choices as well as setting some time for frequent physical activity. Women Health and Fitness Day on September 29 The National Women’s Health and Fitness Day will be marked by the hosting of different events by women, all related to fitness, health and proper healthier lifestyle on 29 September. Events will takes place in hospitals, recreation centers, senior centers, service organizations, houses of worship, community locations, parks, health clubs among others. The health and fitness day for women is promoted by their organizers, the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC). In support of the day, the Nurse Practitioners Association of Long Island (NPALI) has been encouraging all women in the Island to pass the day by making a lasting commitment to find better ways of living well and learning more about wellness and health. They are only asking women at least make use of thirty minutes only to carryout some exercises, as busy as they might be. The organizers of the health and fitness day for women are positive that women could try to walk for 30 minutes, two times every week and set about 20 minutes more to jog on two other days in the same week. Other recommendations include aerobic activity, vigorous exercise or strength endurance routines at least twice a week. Image Credit: |
