On Footwear News Sexy Shoes contest drew 8,000 customers across America to vote for the sexiest shoes across the globe from 23 designer shows. The event to unveil the winner happened at New York department store Saks Fifth Avenue . The winner was a pair from French designer, Christian Louboutin, who took the grand prize for he’s design of Swarovski crystal-embellished Maralena mesh peep-toe pumps valued at (RM7,580). In the early 1990’s he launched his line of high-end women’s footwear in France. He makes shoes that are “like jewels”, with luxurious detailing, super high stilettos and trademark glossy red soles. Sexy Shoe: Sexiest Shoes in the World Unveiled The stiletto heel measuring a stunning 14 cm, beating Sergio Rossi’s entry nude-suede gladiator sandals embedded with crystals and plume, Valentino’s snakeskin studded design and Roger Vivier’s satin ankle straps made of turquoise satin and lined with velvet satin rosette. The runners-up in the competition were heels from Dolce & Gabbana, Jimmy Choo in and Giuseppe Zanotti. Voting took place online at Footwearnews.com/sexyshoes and at Saks Fifth Avenue store 10022 Footwear boutique in New York and was open to the public. Manolo Blahnik , London-based designer who has dressed fashion royalties such as Jackie Onassis and Princess Diana told The Media that sexy footwear show a hind of flesh, that a hint of toes could be done beautifully else, too much of it would be kind of vulgar.
