Veterans Day, previously known as Armistice Day, is set to arrive on November 11. This day established in 1919,now serves to commemorate the veterans who fought heroically in World War I. over time, Veterans Day accrued a greater significance for all war veterans.

Parents Hope Sketch Will Have the Killer Found

A search to identify the killer of a 20-year-old Roanoke woman who disappeared on leaving a concert in University of Virginia was commenced in a road trip and friends and relatives are hopeful that he or she will be found.
Morgan D. Harrington’s parents are said to have conducted a trip from Roanoke to Charlottesville according to reports by WDBJ-TV.

Laser Pointer Sends Teen to Prison

A Laser pointer has sent a teenager to a 15 months jail term. Nathan Ramon Wells who is 19 years saw a police chopper from California & decided to point the laser to it. But he did not know that this laser pointing incident would put him in prison.

Navy SEAL Accused Of Smuggling Illegal Weapons

The arrest of a Navy SEAL has raised questions as to how he managed to get past 80 high-powered weapons into the U.S through the military transport and try to sell the smuggled weapons from Iraq or Afghanistan.

Google’s mapping of borders dicey?

After the furore over parts of the Indian mainland being allocated to sub-continental neighbours on Google Maps, there is again a debate regarding accuracy after a Costa Rica-Nicaragua border dispute.

Johannes Mehserle verdict a mockery of justice

Oakland was tense after Johannes Mehserle, a former white BART police officer who shot down unarmed black youth Oscar Grant, got off easy with just a seven months sentencing to jail.
Johannes Mehserle was to be tried for murder but the case was watered down to one of involuntary manslaughter.
